Peanut Butter Truffle Brownies
Good morning! Today I am sharing our sweet treat for the week! I am signed up for the Betty Crocker daily recipe newsletter and this recipe actually came to my inbox. As SOON as I saw it I knew we had to try it because Uncle Bee LOVES, Loves (loves) peanut butter. You start with a 9×9 pan of prepared brownies, you could use a mix or homemade, then you top it with a peanut butter truffle mixture and then with melted chocolate. It reminded me a lot of a Reese’s cup so if you are a Reese’s cup addict, you really need to try these! Cut them small because THEY ARE RICH!
Ingredients
- 1 9x9 pan baked brownies (from homemade or a mix)
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp milk
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 Tbsp butter
Instructions
Bake brownies in a 9x9 pan lined with foil and greased for easier slicing. Allow brownies to cool completely before topping.
In a medium bowl beat butter, peanut butter, powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Spread evenly over brownie base.
In small microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips and butter uncovered for 15 second increments, stirring in between until smooth. Allow to cool for about 5 minutes and then spread over peanut butter filling. Refrigerate for a couple of hours before slicing. Slice small. because they are RICH! Enjoy!
