Do you want to earn money for your child’s school? Of course you do! It’s easy! Participating schools are eligible to receive donations from General Mills through Box Tops for Education! I do the majority of my grocery shopping at our local Walmart and Walmart makes it so easy to find the Box Top Items that I need!
I like to look over the list of items that carry the box top label when I am making my grocery list, to make sure that if an item I need has a brand with a Box Top label, that I am buying that one.
There are SO MANY items that we use every day that come with Box Tops!
For example:
Baking and Bake Wear
Cereal
Food Storage Bags
Frozen foods
Meals & Sides
Paper Products
Produce
Dairy Products
School & Office Supplies
Snacks & Juice
Table Wear & Waste Bags
My kids LOVE getting in on the action! My daughter is 10 and her job is to cut out the Box Top Labels. My son is 5 and his job is to divide the Box Top Labels into each of the kid’s baggies so that they each take equal amounts to school.
The school always has some kind of Box Top contest going on between the classes with the winner each month getting some type of prize. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Friends and other relatives can get in on the fun! It’s a great way to have relatives that live far away to get involved with helping your child’s school. Print them out a list of box top labeled items and have them save them and mail them to your kiddos every month. What kid doesn’t love getting mail???
My kids aren’t big cereal eaters in the morning. They need something with more staying power to keep them full until lunch, but they DO like cereal for an after school snack or before bed snack (Don’t we ALL?) So I always have a couple of different kinds of cereal on hand. My kiddos LOVE looking for the ones with the BOX TOP Labels.
As a fun back to school activity, we picked out our favorite Box Top cereal and made a delicious and yummy after school treat with them! These Reese’s Puff Peanut Butter Bites were SO much fun to make with the kids. There is no cooking involved so even the youngest of kids can help with these!
Reese’s Puff Peanut Butter Bites
Ingredients
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup salted butter, softened (I only had unsalted, so I had to add 1/4 tsp salt)
1 1/4 cups Reese’s Puff Cereal (crushed into 1 cup)
1 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cups chocolate sprinkles
Directions
In a large mixer bowl combine peanut butter and butter. Beat on medium speed of electric mixer until well mixed. Add crushed Reese’s Puff Cereal and powdered sugar. Beat until well mixed.
Place sprinkles in shallow dish. Shape peanut butter mixture into 1-inch balls. Roll around in sprinkles. Place on wax paper lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for several hours. Store in tightly covered container in the fridge.
