Good morning! I am so excited about today’s post because it is my first official product review! Gourmet Warehouse sent me 3 products to try out, and I was able to incorporate 2 of them in 1 easy and delicious recipe! I received these products a week before the 4th of July, so what better time to try out a new bbq sauce and spice rub that the holiday? We already have a bbq sauce that we like a lot and have used for years, so I was really excited to see how this Cherry Jalapeno BBQ Sauce would rank. Holy WOW! It was even better than our old favorite! It is a mild sauce, but you can definitely get that jalapeno flavor in it. The Cherry provides just the touch of sweetness to balance it out. This bbq sauce gets 4 out of 4 stars from each member of our family! We will definitely be ordering some! The applewood smoked spice rub was also absolutely delicious! It definitely gave the ribs an outdoorsy smoked taste, even though we cooked ours in the oven! Obviously we are huge, huge fans of the products we have tried so far and can’t wait to try the Applewood Smoked Injectable Marinade they sent us for a recipe next week! Big thanks to Uncle Bee and Sissy Bee for helping me out with the cooking and photographing last week, as I was a little under the weather! 😉

After the ribs have cooked for 2 1/2 hours, remove from oven and baste the ribs with some of the sauce mixture. Place back in the oven for 30 minutes. Baste them again and allow them to cook for 30 minutes longer. When the ribs are finished, take them out of the oven until ready to eat. When ready to eat, preheat broiler. Baste ribs with sauce one more time and place under broiler for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and enjoy!
