Tater Tot Casserole
This Tater Tot casserole is our kid’s ALL TIME FAVORITE meal and we love it too! It is SO easy to throw together and its a good one to let little ones help with. They love to line the tater tots on top JUST RIGHT. When we had it the other night, I prepped the meat mixture during the kiddo’s nap time then just topped it with tater tots when it was ready for the oven! Served with a green veggie and some watermelon and we had a well rounded dinner in no time at all!
Tater Tot Casserole
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 can cream of mushroom plus 1 can of whole milk
1 can cream of celery
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 bag of tater tots
Shredded cheese of your choice
Directions
Directions
Brown ground beef and drain off the grease. Add beef back to pan. Add the cream of mushroom, cream of celery and fill 1 of the cans up with whole milk and add that to the pan as well. Add garlic salt and black pepper and stir to combine. Continue cooking over low heat for 10 minutes or until heated through. Pour meat mixture into a 2 quart baking pan. Line the frozen tater tots up one by one on top of the meat mixture. It takes me about 1/2 of a large bag of them. The kiddos LOVE to help with this part. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Remove from oven. The tater tots will be crispy and the sauce bubbling over them a bit. This is good!!!! Top with a blanket of shredded cheese of your choice. We like to use a combination of freshly shredded sharp cheddar and mozzarella. Bake for 5 more minutes or until the cheese is all melted. Remove from oven and let sit for 10 minutes before slicing. ENJOY!!!
