Sausage & Crescent Breakfast Bake
My sister made this casserole from Kevin and Amanda one year for Christmas morning and it instantly became a family favorite! I mean how can you go wrong with sausage, crescent rolls, cheese, eggs and veggies? You can totally play around with this one to suit your preferences! Use your favorite veggies and cheese and make it your own!
- 1 package Pillsbury crescent rolls
- 1 lb hot pork sausage
- 2 cups of your favorite veggies (I used red and green bell pepper and sliced mushrooms)
- 6 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups of cheese (We like sharp cheddar or colby-jack)
Brown sausage with the veggies and drain. Spray 9x13 pan with cooking spray. Roll out crescent rolls in the bottom of the pan and seal the edges to make 1 large sheet. Top with cooked sausage and veggies. Add salt and pepper to the beaten eggs and pour eggs over the top of the meat & veggies. Sprinkle cheese all over and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
