Pizza Night!
Last week, we had a family favorite: ‘Semi-Homemade’ Pizza night. We used pre-made dough from Publix and it turned out great as always. We had a ‘Meatlover’s’ Pizza, Hawaiian Chicken Pizza, Barbecue Chicken Pizza and S’more’s Pizza. As you can imagine, I had a very happy hubby and kids. ๐
Barbecue Chicken Pizza
Ingredients
1 package of Publix Pizza Dough (Found in the bakery)
Sauce using equal parts Sweet Baby Ray’s Hickory and Brown Sugar Barbecue sauce and marinara sauce.
Chicken, cooked and chopped
Sliced Provolone Cheese
Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Red Onion
Directions
1 hour before time to make the pizza, get the dough out of the fridge, sit it on the counter, leaving it inside the bag to rise for 1 hour. When ready to prepare pizza, spray a cookie sheet or large pizza pan with Pam and use your hands to stretch out the pizza dough. Using a spoon, spread some of the Pizza sauce around the pizza, leaving an inch around the outside of the crust. Then, top the pizza with Chicken, Sliced Provolone, a small amount of shredded cheddar cheese, and red onion. Bake at 400 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
Hawaiian Chicken Pizza
Ingredients
1 package of Publix Pizza Dough (Found in the bakery)
Sauce using equal parts Marinara sauce and ‘Honey’ Baked Ham Hickory Honey Mustard
Ham
Chicken, cooked and chopped
Shredded Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheese
Canned pineapple, drained
Directions
1 hour before time to make the pizza, get the dough out of the fridge, sit it on the counter, leaving it inside the bag to rise for 1 hour. When ready to prepare pizza, spray a cookie sheet or large pizza pan with Pam and use your hands to stretch out the pizza dough. Using a spoon, spread some of the Pizza sauce around the pizza, leaving an inch around the outside of the crust. Then top the pizza with both cheeses, the chicken, ham and pineapple. Bake at 400 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
‘Meat Lover’s’ Pizza
Ingredients
1 package of Publix Pizza Dough (Found in the bakery)
Your favorite store bought Marinara
Italian Sausage, Casing removed and cooked and crumbled
Pepperoni
Bacon, Cooked
Shredded Part Skim Mozzarella Cheese
4 Slices Whole milk Mozzarella Cheese
Directions
1 hour before time to make the pizza, get the dough out of the fridge, sit it on the counter, leaving it inside the bag to rise for 1 hour. When ready to prepare pizza, spray a cookie sheet or large pizza pan with Pam and use your hands to stretch out the pizza dough. Using a spoon, spread some of the marinara around the pizza, leaving an inch around the outside of the crust. Next, top the pizza with the shredded Mozzarella, then the Pepperoni, Italian Sausage and cooked bacon. Lastly, top the pizza with 4 slices of whole milk Mozzarella cheese. Bake as directed, at 400 degrees, for 18 -20 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
S’more’s Pizza
Ingredients
1 Pillsbury Pizza Crust
1/2 cup Graham Cracker Crumbs
6 Hershey’s Chocolate bars
1 bag regular sized marshmallows
Directions
Spray cookie sheet with Pam, and unroll pizza dough. Sprinkle dough with Graham Cracker Crumbs and bake for 8 minutes. Remove crust from oven and put the chocolate bar pieces on the crust, leaving 1 inch around the outside of the crust. Next cover the top of the chocolate bar pieces with marshmallows. Return to the oven and bake for 6-8 more minutes, or until crust is done and marshmallows are toasty. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
