Am I the last one on earth to know you could get Tyson® Grilled & Ready® Chicken Strips from the frozen section at Dollar General? Totally late to the game on that one. I have been a huge fan of the Tyson® Grilled & Ready® Chicken Breast Strips for a while now and was excited to find out they had them at our local Dollar General! They actually had a really nice selection of Tyson® and Jimmy Dean® products which are both brands I buy a lot of!
Some of the ones we saw were:
Jimmy Dean® Breakfast Sandwiches and Bowls <–Fave!
New Jimmy Dean® Stuffed Hash-browns <–Can’t wait to try these!
Tyson® Chicken Nuggets
Tyson® Chicken Patties
Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips <–fave!
Tyson® Boneless and Bone-in-Wings
Tyson® Grilled and Ready® Chicken <—fave!
I am super excited to be partnering with Tyson® Foods to promote #SaveTheSchoolDay !
With school starting back I know we are going to be as busy as ever this Fall. My son will be playing football and soccer and my daughter is on the middle school volleyball and basketball team. I am determined to not let us being busy break our bank with a ton of unnecessary eating out. I know for us, the key is meal planning and a stocked freezer and pantry! You can go to www.savetheschoolday.com to get other quick and easy recipe ideas to help you meal plan!
I almost always keep these Tyson® Grilled & Ready® Chicken Strips on hand for quick and easy meals and snacks for my family! I was able to stock up at Dollar General for a good price!
I got 3 bags worth and will be using this chicken for quick meals such as nachos, wraps, salads and to top some of our favorite pasta! In fact, I had pasta in mind the day I bought this chicken. My kids are obsessed with cooked spinach lately so I wanted to try my hand at an easy Chicken Florentine Pasta.
After I bought the chicken, I actually had everything on hand that I needed to put this meal together. It is so simple and easy! I LOVE homemade pasta sauce! Especially the creamy kind 😉
This recipe turned out so yummy. My kiddos were fighting over the leftovers for lunch the next day 😉
This meal was on the table in about 20 minutes. Way faster than going out for fast food or even ordering a pizza. I hope y’all love it as much as we did!
Ingredients
- 1 bag Tyson® Grilled and Ready® Chicken Strips, prepared according to package directions
- 8 oz uncooked linguine, prepared according to package directions
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 to 3 cloves garlic, minced

- More grated cheese for serving
Instructions
Cook the chicken and the pasta according to package directions and set aside, keep warm.
Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add butter to pan; swirl to coat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring nonstop and then add the flour and whisk constantly for 1 minute.
Whisk in the cream and chicken broth and cook 2 minutes or until thickened. Add cheese, stirring until cheese melts. Add salt and pepper, and spinach; stir until spinach wilts. Add cooked pasta and chicken & toss to combine. Taste and adjust seasoning accordingly. Serve topped with more grated Parmesan and enjoy!
