Dinner Thyme Meal Delivery
This was a sponsored post in collaboration with the Association of Food Bloggers and Dinner Thyme, but all opinions expressed are my own
It finally happened! I had the opportunity to try out a Meal Delivery service! Dinner Thyme offered to send me a shipment of meals to try and I could NOT say yes fast enough! I immediately looked over their website to make my meal selections. The only thing more fun than picking out which meals I wanted to try was arriving home to this on my door step:
Not even gonna lie, there was squealing.
I brought it inside and opened it up right away. You could tell that great care was taken to make sure the package of ingredients arrived in impeccable condition. The food was packaged with ice packs and was cold and fresh as can be.
The ingredients were clearly labeled which I loved. I put them away in the fridge and read through the paperwork provided with tips and tricks and also glanced over the recipe instructions. I was PSYCHED for this weeks lunches!
Ok so let’s talk about my lunch situation.
I am gonna get REAL with y’all for a minute. I am a PRO, an absolute PRO at having a healthy, well balanced Breakfast and Dinner for my family. I make a meal plan every single week that includes breakfast and dinner. Even with my kids playing several sports and my husband having a pretty erratic schedule, through my VERY detailed and organized meal plans, I am able to cook dinner 7 nights a week. It also helps that I work from home, of course.
But my lunches, well, that’s a different story. I just do not do a good job of planning my lunches. If there are no dinner leftovers from the night before, I have been known to eat a handful of pretzels for lunch. I just don’t like dirtying the kitchen when it’s just for me. (I realize this is crazy talk but just putting it all out there)
So, when Dinner Thyme reached out and offered to send me these meal kits with all of the ingredients already prepped and packaged and ready to go, I was like, ‘YAY! Easy and healthy lunches with minimal prep, mess, and time!’
I didn’t mind the 5-10 minutes it took to make these meals because 80% of the work was done for me. All that was dirtied most times was a single pan and my plate/bowl.
2 Things I was most surprised about with Dinner Thyme was 1) How fresh and high quality the ingredients were.
and 2) HOW DELICIOUS THE FOOD WAS! Seriously y’all. It felt like I was eating gourmet meals for my lunches.
And can I just say, I had no idea how much better I would feel eating a real, healthy, well balanced lunch every day? It made SUCH a difference! Instead of eating a handful of chocolate chips at 2pm because I was HANGRY and had skipped lunch, my energy levels stayed way up and I was so much more productive!
Below are the meals I had:
I promise you, they were as good as they look and I am already checking out their site and planning my next order!
