Pittsburgh ‘Steak & Fry’ Salad
We had an amazing night celebrating Uncle Bee’s Birthday yesterday! We grilled steak and had an amazing Red Velvet Oreo Cheesecake for dessert.
(Uncle Bee says he has to tweak the recipe JUST a tad then I can share it with you guys! Yay!
Dinner Tonight was Uncle Bee’s favorite salad using leftover steak from last night. I almost always grill an extra steak or 2 for this very salad. It is our FAVORITE! What’s not to like about grilled steak, your favorite salad fixin’s and FRENCH FRIES all in one salad tossed with ranch dressing? This is as sinfully decadent as a salad can get! Enjoy!
Pittsburgh ‘Steak & Fry’ Salad
Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs marinated & grilled steak, sliced
head of lettuce, torn
4 hard boiled eggs, sliced
red onion slices
tomato, chopped
cucumber, chopped
colby jack cheese, shredded
croutons
1 bag of frozen French Fries
Ranch Dressing
Directions
To assemble the salad, Layer lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber, hard boiled eggs, croutons and cheese into each bowl while the french fries are frying. I cooked them a little more crispy than normal to make sure they stayed crisp in the salad. Tossed the veggies with the dressing then added the steak slices and french fries at the end, to ensure maximum crispness. Serve immediately.
