Triple Chocolate Crock Pot Cake

My son (age 5) got to pick out a recipe to make this weekend and he picked this triple chocolate crock pot cake.   Imagine that 😉  He got to pick the recipe, help shop for the ingredients, and make it all by himself.  He was awfully proud!  It turned out so great.  We will definitely be making it again!

Triple Chocolate Crock Pot Cake (recipe source)

Ingredients

1 box chocolate cake mix

1 3.9oz box instant chocolate pudding mix

1 1/4 cups mini chocolate chips

4 eggs

3/4 cups vegetable oil

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup sour cream

For Serving: Ice Cream, Whipped Cream & Hot Fudge Syrup

Directions

Mix cake mix, pudding mix, chocolate chips, eggs, oil, buttermilk and sour cream in a large bowl.  Pour into a slow cooker sprayed with cooking spray.  Cook on low for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until done.  Turn slow cooker off and let set for 10-20 minutes before serving.  Serve topped with ice cream, whipped cream and hot fudge syrup.
